천수관음도 : 千手觀音圖(Painting of ThousandHands Avalokitesvara)
불교 회화 "천수관음도"를 재현한 미디어아트.
"Painting of ThousandHands Avalokitesvara" is a media art reproduction of Buddhist paintings based on the theme of Avalokitesvara(千手觀音) Bodhisattva.
작품은 어두운 배경 속 파도 소리로 시작된다. 배경이 밝아지면 작품 중앙의 절벽에 큰 연꽃 봉오리가 있다.
The artwork begins with the sound of waves in a dark background.
When the background becomes brighter, there is a large lotus bud in the center of the work.
이어 불법의 수호신인 사천왕(四天王)이 등장하고, 연꽃 속에서 천수관음이 등장한다.
The Four Heavenly guardians of Buddhism, then appear, and Avalokitesvara appears in lotus flowers.
마지막으로 구름과 화불들이 나타나면서 작품의 모든 요소가 완성된다.
이후로는 혜봉 스님의 42진언에 맞추어 42수가 차례로 등장한다.
Finally, Clouds and Litany Buddha appear, filling all elements of the work.
Since then, 42 Hands have appeared in line with Monk Hyebong's 42 words of Buddha.
